Thursday - IEP MEETINGS and Make-up DIBELS TESTING

Friday -  We will review all letters, sounds and sight words.  We will play games and review all we have learned this year!

Week of April 27th

Monday - I will be absent.

*Review all sight words
*DIBELS Practice - LNF/NWF
*Play games with sight words
*Practice blending words

*I will be sending home a homework sheet this week!  Please help your child practice this sheet each night!!!

Week of April 20th

This week we will:

*Review all letters and sounds
*Review all sight words - Your child should be practicing these each night.
*Read Phonics Story - "Fix It"
*Practice non-sense words and blending words
*Practice DIBELS - Letter Naming

Continue to help your child each night on the skills that are being taught!

Week of April 13th

Monday - PST Meetings

This week the students will:

* Focus on the letter "g"
* Use letter tiles on the 3 square to spell words
* Isolate initial sounds
* Segment words
* Connect sounds to letters
* Phonics Sheet - "The Park"
* Review Sight words - Play games

The students will:

*Isolate initial and final sounds
*Connect sounds to letters
* Practice blending words
*Review sight words
*New sight words - not, all
*Use letter tiles to spell words
*Reading Passage - Tap! Tap! Tap!

Group 2
*ABC Card drill
*Review sight words and play games
*New sight words - by, word, but, not, all

I sent home a list of sight words with your child.  Please make sure that your child practices these words each night.

Week of March 30, 2015

The students will:

*Focus on the letters "n" and "g"
*Segment words
*Isolate initial and final sounds
*Practice spelling cvc words using a 3 square and letter tiles
*Connect sounds to letters
*Practice writing letters
* Practice sight words
*Add new sight words - by, word, but
*Complete rhymes in rhyme time game


Group 2
*ABC Card Drill
*Play games with sight words
*Add new sight words - his, this, or, had

Continue to word with your child each day.  Please check his/her folder for any papers that may come home.

Week of March 16th

Monday - Inservice Day

The students will:
*Focus on the letter "n"
*Isolate initial and final sounds
*Connect sounds to letters using letter tiles and 3 square
*Spell words
*Practice blending words
*Practice writing names
*Review sight words

The Students Will:

*Focus on the letter "i" and "n"
* Use a 2 and 3 square strip to segment words and to use letter tiles to connect sounds to letters
* Isolate final sounds
*Connect sounds to letters

* Practice blending words
*Practice writing letters using the correct formation
*DIBELS practice

*Isolate initial and final sounds
*Use letter tiles on the 3 strip card
*Connect sounds to letters
*Segment words
*Blend words
*Practice NWF
*Focus on the "th" sound
*Practice writing letters
*Time practice on letters
* Review all sight words


New Group:
*Practice saying letter names and sounds - Card drill
  Review - m,p,c,f,t,s,d,l   ---  ADD- a,o,r,b
*Review sight words - little, I, a, the, am, to, she, he, we, see, me
 ADD- my, is, for, have, look

*Identify first and last sounds using a 3 strip and 2 strip board
*Connect sounds to letters
*Blend Words
*Segment Words
*Use letter tiles to identify first and last sounds
*Focus on sight words - on,as
*Learn "ch" sounds

The students will:
*Continue to learn letters, sounds and sight words
*Focus on the letters - t, s, d, l
*Focus on the sight words - see, we, me, he, she

I will be sending homework home!  Please return this work on Friday!  Parents should sign the form each day that your child has practiced!

*Use the 3 square to identify first and last sounds (Use letter tiles)

*Introduce the words "was and there" - Drill the words - go, from, said, what
*Practice Phoneme Segmentation - Rhyming Words - Nonsense Words - Blending
