This week we will:

* Continue to review all letters and sounds - m, p, t, f, c, s
* Introduce and focus on the letter "d"
* Review all letters and sounds - ABC Drill Cards
* Isolate initial sounds
* First sound song "s"
* Match a pictures initial sound
* Connect sounds to letters
* RTI warm up practice
* Practice blending short a words
* Practice writing letters and name
* Review sight words - I, am, a, the, little, is, have, to, my, he, like
* Add sight word - we
* Prepare Progress Reports

I will not be sending home homework this week. However, continue to practice at home each night!

Week of September 22nd

This week the students will:

*Review letters and sounds - m, p, t, f, c, s
*Isolate initial sounds
*Use picture cards to find pictures that begin with the "t" sound
*Match a pictures initial sound
*Connect sounds to letters
*Play first sound mix up with "t" and "s"
*ABC card drill
* RTI Warm- Ups
*Practice writing letters using the correct formation
*Practice writing name
*Introduce the words - like, he
*Review sight words - I, am, is, a, the, little, my, to, have

I will be sending homework home again on Monday.  I want to stress how important it is to help your child each night with the homework.  It only takes about 10 minutes to do.  Return the homework on Friday!  Thanks so much for all your help!

*play sound match cards
*isolate initial sounds
*practice writing letters
*practice writing name
*RTI - warm-ups
*ABC - card drill
*sing first sound "t" song
*play letter games on computer
*review sight words - I, am, to, a little , the is, have
*learn new sight word - my

Please help your child review these skills each day!!! Homework will be sent home on Monday and should be returned on Friday!

Week of September 8th

Monday is Parent Report Night!  I will be in my room (K-Green Pod) if you would like to come by and speak with me.

This week we will:

I send homework home each week.  Please help your child practice each night and return the signed sheet on Friday.  The homework only takes a few minutes to complete.  This practice will be very beneficial!  Thanks for all you do!
